365 days
it was peak COVID. I had my camera but no one to photograph. So I decided to turn the camera on myself. I challenged myself to a whole year of self-portraits. 365 Days. In a row. I wanted to challenge myself creatively and decided to hold myself accountable by posting it all on social media. It was both the best decision and the worst decision. It really challenged me. REALLY. I had so many great ideas but giving myself a 24-hour turnaround time didn’t allow those ideas to be thoroughly executed. But that’s ok. Not every idea is going to come out exactly how you envisioned. Creativity ebbs and flows. You are not meant to have a constant creative streak. This project taught me that it’s ok not always to produce my best work. Sometimes you have to take a step back and let it sit. While I look back and am mortified by some of the photos I posted, I am also so proud of myself for sticking to this and not missing a single day. Here are some of the highlights.
